News updates for the ECLSTS!
I.S.L.S.M.R. is proud to attend the East Coast Large Scale Train Show!  We will have a booth and be there to answer any and all questions about the organization.  We will also have a drawing for a $150.00 spending spree at www.wholesaletrains.com!  It will cost $1.00 for one ticket.  Buy as many as you want! The Contest will start Saturday morning.

The booth will have information about the hobby of Large Scale and we will have flyers from other groups that are trying to promote the hobby. We will also be showing videos of Large Scale layouts.

Please stop by the booth and say hello.

NEWS FLASH!  We will be posting photos and reports on the show daily from York.  Check back here to get the latest news from ECLSTS!

4/13/02  - News update!

Photos galore at ECLSTS. Here is one of the first new items I saw.

MTH Hudson and Challenger.

Nicholas Smith Trains had the Challenger Mockup and the Hudson Prototype on display.  In the 15 minutes that I was eyeballing both, there were about half a dozen people that plunked down pre-orders on either engine. The two photos below are of the Challenger.  Very nicely deteailed.  The tender is an coal tender. There is a photo of it later on. It was examined very closely by many people.  The general consensus was that both locomotives were nicely detailed. The Hudson was not running, although it was the working model prototype.  September delivery date.

Below, you get a low end rear view of the Challenger.  I noticed the couplers were very similar to the USA trains/Bachmann type.
