This caboose for the price is a great deal.

This is the caboose that was purchased from Wholesaletrains.com for about $24.95. I painted out the Pennsylvania with Floquil ATSF Mineral Brown {FT 110179].  The color was very close to the original color as seen below.  Not perfect, but it adds character.

Photo on left is from the Bachmann site.

Product Code : 93814
Product Name : Pennsylvania
MSRP : $71.00

I use the LGB small bulbs.  The amber color is perfect for old fashioned rolling stock.  The Light holder is from an LGB  Bumper light device.
Photo taken through the caboose door.
Photo shows the placement of the LGB light.  I got a bunch of the bulbs on eBay for a steal.
I have some dry transfer decals.  I just have to decide what road name. The orginal intent was to make an ATSF caboose.  There is a potential to make it a C, B, & Q boxcar or an independent road name.
LGB roller bearing wheels for track power pickup.
The interior of the caboose is easy to get to.  Remove several screws and carefully take the caboose apart.  Very simple to work with.
I glued the light assembly across from the stove.  I toyed with the idea of adding a couple of lights but chose to stay with one.  The lights were generally very dim anyway in the "waycar"..
