Repair of Pola Engine Shed roof

The Pola Loco Shed was outside for about one year ago.  It has been outside since.  The building itself did not fair well in the Arizona Heat.  The roof warped very badly and it has since been worked on to correct this severe warping.  The Pola Loco shed is a beautiful building but the way the roof is supported leaves a lot ot be desired.  I would not leave this outside UNLESS you do heavy modifications to the roof [more bracing] and support.

This is a section of the roof that I have taken off the building.

My first idea was to heat the roof sections, in the oven, to see if I could correct the warp.  To some degree this was successfull BUT not a good idea.  The plastic actually shrank.  This "shrinkage" cause a section of the roof to shorten close to 3/8" in length.

So much for that idea.

I decided to take Marine GOOP and attach the warped roof sections to a 1/'4" piece of wood.  On the left, you can see 2 sections of the original POLA roof.  One has already been attached to the board.  The board was cut to one length so it would nestle in the existing support brackets of the POLA buildingr.

Looking at the photo on the right, you can see how the roof is still warped.  The gap between the 2 sections is how much both of these pieces shrank from the oven idea.  This gap will be filled with home made "tin" strips.
I have since placed the tin strips in the gaps. These were permanently glued with GOOP Marine grade.  GOOP can be found in Home Depot, Loews, Walmart, etc.   The wooden stips fit in the groove that runs parallel to the loco shed [the green water gutters along the top of the shed].  I also glued a wooden support [1/2 " by 1/2" ] as shown below.  This keeps the roof in place.  The roof is not glued down.
