ISLSMR had another On-Line Chat meeting on 9/27/01.  It looks like we are moving closer to registering the domain names of the group and voting on who is going to host the site.  Email votes will go out
soon.   Brian Fleeger will be the project manager on getting the site up and running. Thanks Brian.

Shirt production was delayed due to the WTC tragedy.  They should be complete soon.

Welcome our newest member: Steve Stockham.  Thanks for being part of the Team, Steve!

ISLSMR cards were discussed and design standards have been approved [size].  I would encourage members to go to their local hobby shops, take a flyer and ask if the flyer can be posted.  Also as you local retailer, if they give discounts to railroad club members.  The local LS store here will honor a 10% discount, if you show them proof of membership.

Flyers will be updated.  Towne is working on the Euro version of the flyer.

Members - send me any articles, photos, etc. that you would like to see posted on the website.  The articles are for the Newsletter: The Turntable.  Speaking of which - anyone want to design a newsletter logo?

Apparently we have several LS manufacturers that will carry our flyer in their kits.  More on this later. Towne Comee had a great visit to the Narrow Gauge Convention and did some great leg work for the organization!  Good job!

Spread the word.  See you  every member can get 2 people to join by the end of the year!

Thanks!

Flyers will be mailed out - an intial batch will go to Clubs

A Web hosting site will be decided upon in the next couple of weeks.

Flyers are going to be distributed at the Narrow Gauge convention.

A cover letter - needs to be done to go out to interested parties.

Membership ID card is designed.  The local train shop here will give a 10%
discount if the card is presented.  I would suggest that members of ISLSMR
approach their local shop also.

For non computer users, a newsletter with ariticles and tips is being discussed.
There are many articles already written, it is just a matter of formating the
newsletter and printing them up.

As it stands, there are 4 mail out retailers that will include
flyers in their mailouts

Who wants to write a press release?  Volunteers are needed.  It will be converted to
PDF format.

Flyers should also go to every Garden shop in a town near you.  Plus Hobby
shop that sells trains.

Any reimbursements will be handled as long as receipts are sent.

Moving right along!  Thanks to all for the hard work.
